Invoicing
Can I customize invoices to match my brand?
Yes. You can customize with your company logo. A polished, branded invoice commands authority and improves payment speed. New invoice templates will be releasing in the future. Pureconto also remembers saved clients and line items, so your second invoice takes just 30 seconds to create.
How many invoices can I send?
Unlimited. There's no cap on invoices or clients. Unlike most "free" apps that limit you to 5-10 invoices before forcing a paid plan, Pureconto gives you full access from day one.
Are invoices compliant with EU tax standards?
Yes, completely. Every invoice automatically includes all mandatory EU legal fields: - Unique sequential invoice numbers and dates - Full counterparty details with VAT identification - Itemized transaction descriptions - VAT breakdowns and payment instructions Invoices are generated as PDF files, valid for B2B and B2C across the EU.
Can I use Pureconto if I'm not VAT-registered?
Yes, absolutely. Pureconto adapts to your tax status. Whether you operate under a small-business exemption or are fully VAT-registered, you can toggle VAT on/off and apply localized rates.
Payments
How do payment links work?
Every invoice includes a secure payment link with your company logo. Clients click the link to access a modern payment page and pay instantly via: - Credit/debit card - Direct bank transfer (SEPA) - Open Banking (if available) Invoices are frequently cleared within 90 seconds of being opened.
What is the SEPA QR barcode feature?
Each payment link includes an automatically-generated SEPA QR barcode. Clients scan it in their banking app, which instantly pre-fills all payment details (your IBAN, amount, reference). They authorize with one tap—no manual typing, no errors. This feature is exclusive to Pureconto among Romanian invoicing platforms.
How fast is the payout?
Payouts are settled directly into your verified bank account within one business day after your client completes payment.
Do my clients need to create an account?
No. Your client never interacts with our back-end software—they only see a clean, professional invoice with your logo and a secure payment link. Click, pay, done.
Does Pureconto hold my customer's funds?
No. Pureconto never holds, receives, or touches your customer's payments at any point. Under EU PSD2 regulations, funds move directly from your customer's bank account to yours. Pureconto acts only as a payment facilitator—we provide the payment link and infrastructure, but we are not a payment intermediary. This transparent payment flow ensures 100% of your customer's payment reaches you immediately, with zero deductions or delays from intermediaries. Pureconto charges only a subscription fee separately, keeping our pricing transparent and predictable.
Recovery Tools
What happens if a client takes weeks to pay?
Late payments are a real problem—you've delivered the work, but your cash sits frozen in net-30 or net-60 terms. Pureconto's Recovery tier eliminates this by automating late payment collection under EU Directive 2011/7/EU.
What is EU Directive 2011/7/EU?
Directive 2011/7/EU (Late Payment Directive) is an EU regulation that automatically gives business creditors the right to charge interest and compensation on late payments. It applies to all EU member states. Under this directive, you're entitled to: - Interest on late payments: Base ECB rate + 8% per annum (approximately 10.4% in Romania/EU) - Fixed compensation: Minimum €40 per invoice for recovery costs These rights exist automatically by law—you don't need to negotiate them. Pureconto simply automates the collection process.
Do I need a special license to offer late fees?
No. You're not lending money or charging arbitrary fees—you're automating the enforcement of statutory legal rights that exist under EU law. Key Point: Interest and compensation are mandated by law. Pureconto simply makes collection automatic instead of manual.
